Benchmarking Utilities

Note: These are passive programs, meaning they do not alter your system
configuration in any way.  Some type of “score” is generated based on your
existing hardware/software configuration.  Run these programs before and
after downloading and installing new device driver sets to document changes
in performance.

Download SuperPI

SuperPI is a raw number benchamrking program. It calculates and records the number
of digits of PI to a number you define, and records the time it takes your CPU and
memory to complete the calculation. This is a good utility to fine tune settings in the
BIOS, while testing system stability at the same time. Also, there may be a day when
you need 1,000,000 (one million digits) of PI.

Download 3D Mark

3DMark is today’s standard overall system benchmarking program. It calculates
scores based on your hardware configuration by rendering a series of cinematic
animated stress tests. 3DMark is also a good program to test new device driver
download sets to see which driver sets provide the best performance for your
hardware configuration.
