A .BZ2 file is used by file servers to compress maps, navs, sounds, materials and other files to be used on fast download servers for auto downloads for Counter-Strike Source servers.
You cannot place the .BZ2 directly into the /maps folder. Simply extract the .bz2 with any .zip, or .rar
file decompression software like WinRAR, WinZIP, JZip and place the file into your /maps directory.
Counter-Strike Source SERVER ADMINISTRATORS: BZIPis available for download at the bottom of this page.
Sometimes, a .NAV is included with the .BSP. In this case there is no .NAV file. If the .NAV file is unavailable, don’t worry. The first time you run the map, Counter-Strike Source will generate a .nav file
and you will see a progress bar saying things like “sampling walkable space.” This has been known to
take a couple seconds, to a couple hours depending on the complexity of the map, so be patient! “Sampling walkable space” will eventually go away, the map will load and be playable, and the .nav will appear in your /maps dir. The .nav file is used by CS:S bots to be able to navigate the map. Bots will glitch out without a .nav file.
