‘Update Driver’ never works in the Window’s device manager?

I have tried loads of device drivers to update, but they all just says it cannot find a better device driver. It says this almost instantly when I click search. Is this a reliable way of updating drivers? Should I manually look them up on the internet instead?

Windows update rarely finds the best drivers for your machine. Windows update will find the most generic device drivers that suit your hardware, and some functionality may be lost with those drivers especially if you have OEM hardware. You need to find these drivers manually. Use the DS device driver downloads page to point you in the right direction of your search
