Flood Warnings Continues for North Eastern Pennsylvania.

Flash flood warnings continue for North Eastern Pennsylvania

Pike, Monroe,  Northampton, Bucks, Lakawanna, Wyoming, Susquehanna and Delaware river basins.

Honesdale, Pocono mountains, Wilkes Barre

 


 

 


The combined moisture form two tropical systems converging over the area coupled with already saturated grounds left over from hurricane Irene will continue to cause problems in the area.

The Susquehanna river is expected to crest around 1AM 9/9/11,  however increasing rain totals may skew this estimate.

The Delaware River is projected to crest between 28 and 31 feet between at 8 PM  09/0 8/11 and 8 AM 09/09/11, 6 to 10 feet above flood stage, according to the National Weather Service at 11:30 this morning.
